MMMetonyms

The truth behind fast foodThe first one was a series of 5 posters called “MMMetonyms”. Developed by taking the McDonalds golden arches symbol and reproducing it and added words that rather unflatteringly depicted my view of the McDonalds business empires activities. The words chosen Mountebank, Mediocre, Malpractice, Maraud and Mawkish where all chosen due to their true meaning and the lack of common use in modern language. 5 A3 size posters of high quality where placed randomly on a wall, they where then surrounded by 500 smaller A5 prints which covered the wall and spilled out on the floor. The display was a direct reflection of my distaste at the “blanket” marketing used by such organisations. The viewing audience where encouraged to take the A5 prints away with them and display them in their homes.
